Smart City Concepts in Curitiba

The Project Smart City Concepts in Curitiba – low-carbon transport and mobility in a digital society explores the transformational change needed to make urban transport and mobility more energy efficient, low-carbon and sustainable. The city of Curitiba in Brazil works as a living lab for multiple activities.

The project (i) develops innovative and smart solutions for promoting low-carbon transport pathways for citizens and goods; (ii) identifies ways to improve resource and service efficiency in the urban context; and (iii) explores how digitalization can catalyze system transformations for improved sustainability in transport and energy service provision, while promoting emissions reduction and prosperity.

Sustainable Vision is a project co-leader together with Chalmers University of Technology in Sweden. The consortium of Swedish and Brazilian stakeholders includes UTFPR, UFPR, IPPUC, URBS, KTH, Hexagon-Leica and SWECO.
